One of the gifts that God has granted us since the waters of Katrina subsided is a near encyclopedia of lessons learned. To that end, our Bishop and our Office of Disaster Response have reached out to the people and Church in Iowa with offers of help, and we will continue to do so. Nell Bolton, director of The Office of Disaster Response, and Katie Mears, Diocesan Rebuild coordinator, have had several conversations with leaders of parish churches in the area and stand ready to offer counsel, moral support, and elbow grease if needed.
